The Teen Citizen Police Academy is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn about the Clarksville Police Department and its operations in an effort to demonstrate the benefits of law enforcement and community policing in our city. The week-long academy also gives the department an opportunity to interact with teens and solicit their feedback and ideas through the discussion of relevant issues within our community. During this one week program, the Clarksville Police Department will discuss numerous subjects and give teens hands-on experience in some areas of law enforcement.

  • Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad Detonation Demonstration
  • 911 Operations
  • Exploration of other first responder jobs: Vanderbilt’s Life Flight/Fire/EMS 
  • T.A.C.T Team Demonstration
  • K-9 Demonstration
  • Avoidance and 
  • Consequences of DUI/Distracted driving

To allow for more officer/teen interaction and, Teen CPA can only accept thirty teens. TCPA has a very strict attendance policy. The applicant must be present for class each day. Please apply only if you are able to make that commitment-this allows an opportunity for another applicant to be accepted into the program.
